Drop your bags and walk straight to the beach. Swim, fish off the dock, or just sit. Book Keuka Kayak Rentals for tomorrow. They fill up fast on summer weekends.
The Switzerland Inn on Keuka Lake. All-you-can-eat crab legs on the water. 5 minutes away. Bring a jacket. Breezy on the water at night.
Keuka Kayak delivers to the house. Spend the morning on Waneta Lake. Arrowhead Creek is right on the lake if you want breakfast first.
Weis Vineyards is 3 minutes down the road. NY Winery of the Year for a reason. Ravines and McGregor are both 5 minutes from there. Go early on weekdays to avoid tasting room crowds.
Fire pit at the water's edge. Open whatever you brought back from the trail.
One more swim. Sauna. Pack slow.
Hammondsport Village on the way out. Good coffee, good shops. Give it 45 minutes.

Weis Vineyards is 3 minutes away. NY Winery of the Year. Hit Ravines and McGregor from there. Sunday afternoons on the trail are quiet and unhurried.

Watkins Glen State Park on a weekday is a different experience. 19 waterfalls through a two-mile gorge. Go early and you might have it nearly to yourself. One of the best hikes in the Northeast.
Farm Sanctuary is 5 minutes from the gorge. Guided tours May through October, genuinely worth an hour especially with kids. Then grab lunch in Watkins Glen Village before heading back.
Timber Stone Grill in Hammondsport. Wood-fired everything, good cocktails, easy 15-minute drive.
Get Keuka Kayak back out for another morning on Waneta. Take the channel into the Waneta & Lamoka Wildlife Area β bass fishing, wildlife, deer sightings. Quieter than anything on a bigger lake.
Domaine LeSeurre and Living Roots. Two more excellent wineries within 10 minutes of each other. Both tend to be quieter than the heavy hitters on the trail. Elegant and unhurried.
The Hidden Cork. Dog-friendly patio, local wines, hard to leave once you're settled in.
Corning Museum of Glass is 35 minutes south and one of the best museums in upstate NY. Book a glassblowing workshop before you go. They sell out, especially in summer. Budget most of the day here.
Last full night. Sauna and fire pit. Slow it down.
One more swim. One more sauna. Pack slow. Checkout is 10am.
Hammondsport Village on the way out. Good coffee, good shops. Give it 45 minutes.
Get in, walk to the water. September water is still swimmable. October is fire pit weather. Cooler nights make it better.

Glenn H. Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport: vintage planes, motorcycles, and the story of aviation pioneer Glenn Curtiss. Genuinely great and often overlooked. The Finger Lakes Wine Museum is right nearby and worth 30 minutes.
Domaine LeSeurre and Living Roots round out the wine trail if you haven't been yet. Both within 10 minutes of the house.
The Hidden Cork. Low-key, dog-friendly patio, good local wine. Hard to leave once you're in.

Shequaga Falls in Montour Falls is 20 minutes away. A towering waterfall right in the middle of town. Havana Glen Park is next door for a short scenic hike.

Watkins Glen State Park in winter is a completely different experience. Icy cliffs, frozen waterfalls, almost no one there. Go early, dress in layers, watch your footing. Genuinely stunning and worth the drive.
Lunch in Watkins Glen Village, then an easy drive back. Timber Stone Grill for dinner.

Letchworth is 1 hour 15 minutes north. The "Grand Canyon of the East." Three major waterfalls, dramatic cliffs, miles of trails through lush gorge forest. Pack a lunch and make it a full day. Spring is stunning here.

Book Keuka Kayak for a final morning on the lake. May water is fresh and the spring foliage is out. Paddle the channel into the Waneta & Lamoka Wildlife Area if you want to explore.
